2021 Buick Enclave Towing Capacity

2021 Buick Enclave on Snowy Road

The 2021 Buick Enclave towing capacity can reach 5,000 pounds, which is enough power to confidently tow a small boat, midsize camper trailer, flatbed trailer with a few ATVs, or even a small vehicle on the Kettering roads. With that said, not every Enclave SUV has enough power to tow 5,000 pounds, but most any configuration that offers the Trailering Package will reach the upper limit.

How Much Can the Enclave Tow?

The entry-level Buick Enclave has a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds, but as mentioned above, it can reach the 5,000-pound maximum when equipped with the Trailering Package. While AWD is not required for towing, many Springboro drivers appreciate that added stability that comes along with all-wheel drive.

Drivers will find the Trailer Package available on the Essence, Premium, and Avenir configurations; only the Preferred trim level does not include this feature as an option. Features you can expect with the package include:

  • Class III Trailer Hitch
  • Heavy-duty engine cooling system
  • Hitch Guidance with Hitch View
  • Tow/Haul mode
  • Trailer hitch
  • Wiring harness
  • Heavy-duty engine cooling system

So, just how much can the Enclave tow? More than enough to take your weekend adventures beyond Bellbrook to the next level!

What Are the Buick Enclave Engine Specs & Performance Features?

The Buick Enclave trim levels have near-identical equipment under the hood, and except for the baseline Preferred trim level, all-wheel drive is offered as an option. Let’s take a good look at the powertrain that makes your towing capabilities possible:

3.6L V6 Engine paired with a 9-speed Automatic Transmission

  • 310 hp / 266 lb-ft of torque
  • 18 mpg city / 26 mpg highway (FWD)
  • 17 mpg city / 25 mpg highway (AWD)

Even with all of this exciting power, the new Enclave will not compromise on ride quality. Thanks to the five-link rear suspension system, you’re getting a smoother, comfortable, and quieter ride on the roads in all conditions, no matter where your drives take you.

Also, the available intelligent AWD system features an auto-activating twin-clutch that makes sure there’s always power that reaches the wheels where it’s needed the most.

Buick Enclave Cargo Space

Not only can you expect lots of power with your new Buick Enclave, but also loads of interior cargo space. Every Buick Enclave model offers an adaptable and spacious cargo area in the third-row SUV. Fold down the rear seats and enjoy access to almost 100 cubic feet of cargo space when it’s needed:

  • Cargo Capacity Behind Third Row: 23.6 cubic feet
  • Cargo Capacity Behind Second Row: 58 cubic feet
  • Cargo Capacity Behind First Row: 97.6 cubic feet
